It's (sort of) springtime in Chicago. One day it's warm and sunny and then we endure a week of chilly, rainy weather. We've done some spring cleaning. We've planted seeds and bought flowers. We're gearing up for a yard sale later in the month. In the meantime, the girls are getting bigger, crazier, smarter and wilder.
In one of her pretend scenarios last night, she was shopping with her baby. She pushed her stroller into the kitchen with an armload of play food. She accidentally spilled her purse all over the ground and exclaimed, "Shit!" So she's also learning context...
Last week, we all had a lovely bout of strep throat. June got it first and passed it to Mike. Lil and I seemed to avoid it until over the weekend, we both started feeling crappy. We went to urgent care and got antibiotics of our own. Fortunately the meds helped and we're all healthy again.
June has been having more success with potty training. We went through a period of regression, but we seem to be back on track. We set up some fun rewards for her, including dinner with dad. Last week she chose Mike to take her to get tacos for dinner. The photos below are her failed attempt at not smiling at the restaurant.
