We had a busy and fun Spring weekend celebrating warmer weather and Mother's Day. On Friday, the girls' school hosted a Mother's Day Spa. I got pampered with lotion-y massages, my nails got painted and June had a blast decorating my face with an array of eye shadows.
On Saturday, we went to a plant sale to get some herbs and veggies for our garden--only some of our seeds sprouted. I think the rest are duds. We also got lucky and picked up some FREE raspberry plants from a neighbor who was giving them away! I can't wait until the girls can open the front door and eat fresh berries right in our yard.
Preschooler Congo Line!
After the plant sale June and I went to a birthday party. We know the birthday girl from the neighborhood, but the other kids were all from her daycare. But June wasn't phased a bit by the group of new kids and jumped right in with the fun. She ate 3 pieces of pizza, cake and ice cream and had a blast with her first game of musical chairs which she called "dancing chairs" when she tried to explain it to Mike.
On Sunday, I went out to brunch with some mama friends and we got our nails done. It was a relaxing and delicious morning. The weather was beautiful again so we treated ourselves to Italian Ice and headed to the park for more playing.
We put Lil's climbing skills to work at the playground and she quickly mastered a 6' ladder for the big slide. She loved it and went over and over and over!
