This silly little turkey is 4 months today. She's full of happy smiles and giggles in spite of being smack in the middle of the 4 month sleep regression. And still, she's a better sleeper than June ever was (is).
Nursing is going really well. I can't wait to see how her weight is doing at her next check-up. Her g-tube was removed this month, and we couldn't be happier. It's so nice to officially close that chapter of her life.
June is being much sweeter with her baby sister and loves to help out. She's so excited every time Lily wakes up from a nap. She's the first one to reach her crib and announce that we should pick Lily up and change her diaper--which, according to June, is always "very soaking wet."
Monday, Lily becomes a working girl, as my maternity leave comes to an official end. Lily will take her place as the office distraction. It will be an adjustment for all of us to have a baby (and not a toddler) in the office.
Lily's head control is getting so good. Her strength improves daily. She's also learning to reach, grasp and move things (straight to her mouth). Even though June is only 2.5 years old, I so quickly forgot all this baby stuff so it's a lot of fun to watch Lily hit all these developmental milestones.
Her g-tube scar is healing up nicely.
And here's a few candids of Lily lately . . . .
We went to visit Mike at work.
She's getting so strong and can stand for longer periods of time now.
She's also getting better at sitting up. She can't sit unassisted, but if we wedge her in a pillow she's not just falling right over anymore.
Height: 26.5"
Weight: 17.5 lbs
