We're over the hump and officially closer to 3 years than 2. Our big girl has been in "school" for about a month now and loves it. She runs off to play when I drop her off and she's happily playing when I pick her up. Of course, she always runs back to me and says "you came back!" when I pick her up. She's learning new songs and referring to friends and games at school. It's fun to see that she's learning new things at school.
She's also learning to "read" books to us. She'll hold up the pictures for Lily to follow along. Sometimes she just describes the pictures. Other times she can recite verbatim the words on a page because we've read it so many times. I often wondered how much she paid attention to the stories, but it's clear she's absorbing a lot when she practically read me The Snowy Day in its entirety.
Our poor little kiddo has also had her share of sickness this winter. Fevers, runny noses, coughs and an ear infection. I can't wait for warm weather so we can get outside and get some fresh air away from all the germs inside. She's been a trooper though. Even on her bad days, she's sweet and cuddly.
