Apple Picking

For the 3rd year in a row, we headed north to our favorite local orchard for some apple picking. It was a beautiful day, if not a little warm for fall activities. June was quite the helper for reaching the apples high up on the tree. We brought home two bushels of apples and so far I've made 4 loaves of apple bread, a pitcher of apple juice and have enough apples prepped for 4 more loaves and a tart. And we still have baskets of fresh apples to eat all over the kitchen.
