July was jam-packed full of fun and everything summer should be: friends, beach, good food and adventures.
Since so many new shops have opened in our neighborhood in the last year, the kids and I took a stroll down Milwaukee Avenue to discover what's new. They both loved the vintage thrift shops we discovered and had a blast finding fun new outfits to style each of us.
Granky, this one's for you. They thought you'd love the sparkly purple. 😊
We took our annual trip with friends to Michigan. It was incredible, as usual. Four days of beach, friends and good food. We went blueberry picking again. The kids helped me pick 12 pounds of berries for us to snack on over the long weekend. The fireworks/smores bonfire night on the beach was probably the group fave though.
After we got back from Michigan, the kids both had a week of camp. June did a nature camp called Green Explorers. Every day she explored a new habitat through crafts, projects and recipes. Lily did a week of dance camp where she got to try out modern dance and go swimming. They each loved their camps and are already asking for more next year.
In between all of that, we spent time with friends and visited the beach as much as possible. We've only got 2.5 weeks of summer break left, but we're going to make the most of it.
