December

December was jam-packed with lots of celebrating and settling into cozy winter fun. First up, we celebrated June and Lily Day by sharing the tradition with Lily's class, who were learning about family traditions. Then we headed to the suburbs for an awesome drive thru lights show.

We bundled up in warm layers and took some wintry hikes with friends. Each time, I find myself surprised at how beautiful winter is and how enjoyable it can be when you've got the right gear.

We celebrated Christmas by zooming with Santa and relatives. And putting together a LOT of Lego. We decorated cookies and went on walks to see lights. It was a simple and really sweet holiday.

Our newest ornaments this year, commemorating the year we went to school on computers.

We did a lot of cooking and baking together in December which is pretty typical for us. Lily is really enjoying her Raddish Kids cooking club subscription. And June is becoming a kitchen pro--even mastering hollandaise sauce at age 8!

We made the popular hot chocolate bombs!

One of the highlights of winter break was getting to bunny-sit for the kindergarten bunnies. Morris and Boris came to stay with us for a week.

We also got to play in our first real snowfall of the season! Hoping we get a lot more snow this winter because it makes playing outside a lot more fun!

Our little foursome fared pretty well through a turbulent year. But we're looking forward to a brighter 2021. Happy New Year!
