It's fall . . . sort of. The weather around here has been erratic, to say the least. One day we're in shorts and tees and the next, we're bundled up in sweats. Unpredictable weather makes for stressful mornings when I'm trying to convince a two-year old that a sundress is not appropriate for 50* and windy--but it might be ok tomorrow. Regardless, we're trying to get into the fall spirit. We missed apple picking this year because the crops were bad and our September was so busy. And despite temps in the 80s lately, we've jumped head-first into Halloween. June and I are having a blast making costumes. Lily is on board with painting pumpkins and decorating. The girls shriek with delight every time they find another plastic spider "hidden" in the house.
I chaperoned a field trip to the Pumpkin Farm with Lily's class last week. It was a quick and jam-packed morning, but Lil and our buddy had a lot of fun picking pumpkins and feeding animals.
We're finally getting into a school rhythm these days. Lil and I enjoy our days off and our time at all of the playgrounds while June is really loving school. She comes home so happy and full of stories.
Last weekend we checked out a fall festival at a local park. The girls played and brought home pumpkins to paint.
