Open House

Last week, Brentano had its Open House for us to come visit June's classroom and see the school. June was so proud to show us around her classroom at all of the projects they've worked on. She also gave us a tour of their art, music, drama, gym and cafeteria.

Before we went in, though, we enjoyed popsicles on the playground. It was such a hot week last week. Insane for Chicago this time of year. We enjoyed lots of popsicles, AC and inside playing.

^^^Assuming she means "Lily" here because there is definitely no other "baby" in our household. Nor will there be again! I assure you.

When June introduced Lily to Ms. Dugan (June's kindergarten teacher), Ms. Dugan told us that when she was little, her doll's name was Lily and her sister's doll's name was Mary June. We absolutely love Ms. Dugan. She's been a wonderful teacher so far and so communicative and supportive during the transition to school.

On the walk back to the car, it felt like fall crunching through the leaves. The girls stopped to play for a minute and got completely dirty.
