The Hightowers had a very good Christmas. It was a fun, relaxing day of mostly good behavior. Mercifully, the girls slept in until almost 7am! Then we headed downstairs to see what Santa brought.
The girls were immediately excited about their chairs, and I'm so glad we had them front and center to start the day. They loved sitting in them to open their presents.
Santa brought the girls both presents they asked for: princess pillows and a bed for their baby dolls. To see a video of the girls opening their baby bed, click here. Both gifts were a hit. The girls said their favorite gifts were the chairs, the pillows and Lily added her new scarf to the list.
June's new bathrobe was also popular...Sadly, I found it at Salvation Army so yay for a good deal, but bummer that there's only one of them. I guess we'll work on sharing.
While Lily took a nap, June finished up Mary Poppins. Then we headed to our friends' house for Christmas dinner. Several families were getting together. We had a total of 15 adults and 11 kids! It was somewhat chaotic, but the kids did a really good job of playing and eating. And the grown ups got to enjoy adult conversation and wine. It was a really great way to end the holiday.

This year we added 2 ornaments to the tree for the girls. My friend, Sydney, makes these adorable city-themed ornaments, which were perfect for June and Lily's current obsessions with trains and trucks.
