Looking at pictures of puppies
In less cute news: she also says "why?" now. So now when I ask her to do something, she yells NO!, then demands WHY?
Lily is also starting to improve her pronunciation of June's name. She is just starting to make it sound more like Jew and less like Gee. So I guess progress. I'm also hoping she makes progress on her pronunciation of sock because right now it sounds like a word that she should not be saying. Especially when she's demanding that Daddy help with her socks.
Lily is also starting to string together very simple sentences. "Lexi outside." "Baby go." "Gee Hug."
I foresee a future where life is simplified by her language advancements . . . and also made infinitely more maddening.
Lily lately has been exerting her new-found independence by demanding to strap herself into carseat and booster seat. She learned how to connect the buckles and loves to do it herself. Thankfully she got good pretty quick because the early days took several tedious attempts.
Lily has started to take her diaper off when she goes pee. She also regularly tells us when she's gone pee or poop. I don't think she's really ready yet, but I'm excited to see the very early potty-training signs. Hopefully she takes to it and we can move out of diapers quickly. We've put her little potty out and try to encourage her to use it between diaper changes, but so far she only sits on it briefly.
