Surprise!

Three weeks ago, we had a stretch of days where the temps hit -20*. I couldn't handle it anymore so I went online and started perusing flights to Florida. After a few days of back and forth and how crazy is it to manage two kids on only a 40 minute layover, I booked the flights for the girls and I to Gainesville. The bonus was that we decided to surprise the grandparents.

We had a great time taking in some sunshine and our favorite restaurants and seeing our family that we don't get to see often enough. It was an exhausting, but fun trip.

Someone needs to take a lesson from her big sister on appropriate airplane behavior.

June was most excited about going to La Chua Trail to see real live alligators.

I was most excited about a trip to Publix!

June and Gangy got in the Love Day mood with a giant heart shaped cookie to decorate.

While Lil had fun with Grandpa and the faux fruit. Check out the video here.

Perhaps the most fun was had with the fairy wings. Thanks Aunt Jackie & Aunt Laura!

Junie and Lil also got to spend time with their great-grandma, Meme.

Who needs cookies when there's real Florida oranges?!

June and Lil got to play with their friend, Maggie at the History Museum.

June went to kindergarten to celebrate the 100th Day.

And finally, I took the girls to the Thomas Center to see where we got married.

That's our brick down there.

A moment of peace (from Lily) on the flight home.

Of course, I took way more pictures than this. To see all of the pictures, click here. (Some of them are videos.)
