9 months! Already. It's hard to believe time is flying by so fast. We've still got 3 months to go, but I feel like we're on the home-stretch to the first birthday. This month our big girl . . .
. . . has 4 new teeth--for a grand total of 7. It seems like we might be catching a bit of a break on the teething front. She cut 3 of them in about 2 weeks. It was not fun.
. . . is standing up all the time. She's getting quicker and quicker pulling herself up on furniture and us. She much prefers to stand and will climb all over us until we help her out. Though she doesn't need much help these days.
. . . sitting up on her own. She can scoot wherever she wants, then has learned to roll herself up on to her butt so she's sitting. It's such a quick, fluid movement now.
. . . laughing and playing. Lily loves to play patty-cake or peek-a-boo with June. And my favorite thing is to tickle her so she laughs. Her giggle is infectious.
. . . signing "milk" and "more." Lily has learned the sign for milk and uses it pretty regularly with me. She's also learning to clap like June did when she wants more food. The sign for more involves bringing your two hands together so clapping is her interpretation. And this girl always wants more food. I'm so glad I have two healthy eaters!
. . . reading in bed! Lily sleeps on a mattress by our bed. We keep a small little crate of books and toys by her bed for her to play with in the morning with June. But a few times she's woken up from a nap and instead of crying for us, we'll find her sitting happily in bed reading a book. It cracks me up, but I love how independent she is.
