We were so glad to celebrate Lily's 2 month birthday at home. After 7 long and stressful weeks in the hospital, the past two weeks have been a dream. Lily is such a sweet and easy baby. She is getting better and better at nursing, which means we're able to cut back on the supplemental tube feedings. She sleeps so well--so much better than June ever did (or does still). Lily goes to bed with us around 10 and doesn't wake up until 5am, then it's a quick diaper change, a snack and back to sleep.
Her eyes are still a beautiful grey (or blue depending on the light). I hope they never change.
Weight: 14lbs 10oz
Height: 24.75"
Of course, June was not to be excluded from the fun photo shoot.
And soon enough she wanted to play photographer herself.
So what's Lily been doing this month (other than being ridiculously cute)? She smiles all the time and loves to "talk" to us.
She likes her swing--most of the time. And hates her carseat when we're not moving which in the city is most of the time. : (
She got her first bath last week. Mike's coworkers gave us a gift basket of baby items including this super cute hooded towel that looks like an owl. Lily was not too impressed with the sink. Yesterday we had a follow-up with the surgeon and her full g-tube was replaced with the smaller "button"/port. So now she's able to be submerged in water. I can't wait to take her in the bath with me. Hopefully she'll enjoy that experience more.
