Seems kind of silly to keep up the monthly "birthday" posts now that June is 2. But I also like the idea of a monthly update of her, so for now I'm going to keep it up.
Everyday, Junie looks bigger and older and blows my mind with something she says or does. Her language is exploding these days. She still speaks in just single words, but she's also stringing together short sentences and will hold a conversation. I'm also in awe of her memory. We went bowling when our friend Nick was in town two weeks ago and she still asks if we can go bowling with Nick again.
We took June to feed the ducks a few times in the last month. She really liked it. The second time we went was with just the three of us, so the ducks came up a lot closer. Her favorite part was when the ducks dunked their heads under and shook their butts at her.
What June's into lately:
- She loves to identify her 3 freckles, as well as the thousands that I have. Only problem is her pronunciation of freckles sounds way more like a less-appropriate f-word.
- June has always liked to help feed the dogs, but lately she's gotten good enough that she can do it almost entirely by herself. She even cleans up after they're done!
- Playing with her new dollhouse
- Learning to take her shirts on and off
