Easter

Easter was a big hit in our house this year. June thoroughly enjoyed the sudden increase in gifts and activities. On Friday, June and I went to an Easter themed playdate at a friend's house. We ate ham sandwiches, hunted for Easter eggs and played with our friends. I wasn't sure how Junie would do with looking for eggs, but she was an instant pro--especially once she realized there was food hidden inside. On Friday she also opened her Easter basket from Grandma Kay and Rilee.

On Saturday, we dyed eggs. Fortunately it was not nearly as messy as it could have been. Though a tie-dyed onesie is the perfect outfit for egg dying shenanigans.

June was very into dying eggs. She had opinions on what colors to use, how long to leave them submerged and whether we should dip them in other colors too.

She was very proud of her eggs. Obviously she takes such tasks quite seriously.

After all that hard work it was time for a snack.

On Sunday, she got to open her Easter basket (bucket) from the Easter Bunny, who happened to know just how much she loved stickers, bubbles and snacks!

She was tickled pink.

Then it was time for the big Easter egg hunt! We headed outside to hunt down the eggs--which she found pretty quickly, and then looked at us and asked "more?" So we ushered her back inside and hid them again. She ended up going on three egg hunts that morning!

After the egg hunting, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and went on a bike ride to the park. Then came home to play in our backyard. It was warm enough to get out June's water table and even have a picnic dinner outside! Wonderful Easter holiday for us!
