I'm trying to not be flabbergasted that a month has already gone by since June's first birthday--but I'm failing miserably! It's been a busy month for all of us. We've been hunting bike thieves, fighting to buy a house, and chasing a walking toddler around.
June is walking, talking and getting into EVERYTHING these days. Can't wait to get into our new home so we can begin toddler-proofing. We've been trying to let her help out, but June has proven to be much better at unpacking then packing.
About a week after her first birthday, she took a few tentative steps. A few days later, she did it again. And then all of a sudden, she was unstoppable. She loves walking around by herself or holding our hands. She loves climbing stairs. And she's also not afraid to express her frustration when we won't let her climb stairs. She arches her back, stiffens her whole body, scrunches up her face and usually gives us a defiant grunt along with a good fist-shaking in my general direction. I know I shouldn't laugh, but I can't help it.
